about

*This was originally sent out as a CD-R to the 50 or so trusting sweethearts who pre-ordered our album. The song descriptions and what follows are taken from the liner notes.*

We really wanted to say THANK YOU VERY MUCH, as we were overwhelmed by the support, kindness, fuckin’ good times on the reg, all of it.

So, consider this little collection our way of doing so—we tossed out a few other ideas, like hiring a pilot to fly over Kalamazoo on Jan. 13th, 2012, pulling a banner praising you all, or baking everyone a cake for one big global birthday celebration.

We settled on this: ostensibly, another ‘version’ of our album, in demo/goofy/live form—nothing ever intended for actual release (see: gnarly clipping here and there, rough edges abound, mad clams). We actually don’t even know or remember where all this stuff came from. We really take our time, and 3+ years as a band translates to 30 human years, so you’ll have to bear with us.

about

Minutes Kalamazoo

Minutes began playing music in the summer of 2008. Composed of Chafe Hensley, Mark Larmee, Ryan Nelson, and Isaac Turner, all of whom are solidly "in their 30's", the band was started as an outlet for songs written by all members of the band. The modus operandi was always to enjoy the act of making music and to "serve the song".
